Music for "Death Doesn't Bother Me, Anyway"

from Music for "Death Doesn't Bother Me, Anyway". The Story of Dan Pierotti by Freddy Knop

/

about

In September 2014 the Wisconsin based radioprogram To The Best Of Our Knowledge asked me to compose six very short pieces to accompany a few sections of a fascinating 5-part-series on Death. The music that I produced is based on chrystal-clear fieldrecordings, Glockenspiel, old out-of-tune-instruments and the sounds of a Fazioli 308 grand piano. All six pieces are very raw and minimalistic. In a way I feel that they really BELONG to the story (as opposed to standing for themselves).

"'Death Doesn't Bother Me'. The story of Dan Pierotti".

To The Best Of our Knowledge Info:
In 2014, Dan and Judy Pierotti invited us to be part of the end of Dan's life. From early conversations with Dan - a retired Lutheran Minister and social justice activist - about the afterlife, through his final days and funeral, the Pierotti's give us unique access to their process of living through death.
